The last few months have been a challenging time for everyone. We hope you have remained safe and well during this time.

As we look forward, we are starting to think about reopening Croxton House to guests in July. This is of course dependent on Government restrictions. We will always follow this advice as the safety and well-being of our guests and the community are at the forefront of all decisions we make.

Staying At Croxton House

We are carefully monitoring all guidance from the government and Public Health England to ensure we take all possible steps to maintain a safe environment for everyone. Since we opened in 2005, we have received numerous reviews that complement the standard of cleanliness at Croxton House. We will continue to operate at this excellent standard.

In addition, we will put in place any additional measures as recommended. We intend to place hand sanitizer stations by the front door, in all rooms and by the bathrooms – we would expect our guests to use these whenever they are near them. We will also supply anti bacterial wipes and will actively encourage guests to use these to clean where they have used the facilities.

Visit Britain and the AA are developing a quality mark to support hospitality businesses understand all the steps they can take to ensure as safe an environment as possible as this time. We intend to complete as soon as it is available and continue to respond to evidence as it emerges.

The advice regarding laundry is to use high temperatures and detergents, which we will continue to use.

In addition to the cleaning that always happens, we are disinfecting the surfaces that different guests may touch, such as door handles and bannisters, several times throughout the day. To assist us with this it will help if guests wash or sanitise their hands when entering Croxton House, before leaving their room and bathrooms.

We will be removing all tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, along with toiletries. If you require any of these complimentary items please let us know during your stay and we will supply. This decision wasn’t taken lightly, but we hope our guests understand the reason why.

We will also be removing any unnecessary soft furnishings in the rooms i.e. cushions, rugs. We will leave the comfy chair in each room so that you can enjoy your stay in comfort.

Breakfast at Croxton House

In order to minimise risks to our guests we have decided to only offer a light breakfast for the foreseeable future.

The breakfast room at Croxton House has a large dining table seating 8. In order to offer our guests a safe environment, we have decided to offer breakfast as room service only.

All drinks will be served to on a tray and left outside your room, so contact is minimised. We will provide a breakfast menu at check in and will require notification of your choice and a serving time, the night before.

Social distancing at Croxton House

An advantage we have at Croxton House is the size of the house. The only people in the house are guests, who are staying with us and we will have a maximum of 9 guests at any time. We will also keep this under careful review according to government guidance and make alterations if necessary.

The open landings and stairways make it easier to avoid close contact with other guests. We have decided to close all communal areas i.e. the lounge and breakfast room until the Covid-19 risk level is lowered to 1.

Welcoming Guests Back to Croxton House

Staying safe and enjoying your stay continue to be our top priorities. Whilst there are some changes, the majority of this is what we have always done at Croxton House. At this time, we are simply applying extra caution.

As well as staying safe we want our guests to continue to have a pleasurable stay at Croxton House. These measures have been implemented for added caution, but we are confident our guests will continue to enjoy their stay. Our guests are with us to have time away and relax. This seems more important now than ever. We are explaining these actions, so you know what we have and continue to do to maintain a safe space but in a way that is not overly obvious.

We look forward to welcoming you to Croxton House!
